Technical administrator of .BY and .БЕЛ domains became a full member of ccNSO
Technical administrator ccTLDs .BY and .БЕЛ received a status of ccNSO member (Country Code Names Supporting Organization) – organization, that unite the representatives of national domains from all over the world under the aegis of ICANN.
Within ccNSO the representatives of national TLDs share experience and knowledge, that help them reach high results in their activity. As a new member of ccNSO technical administrator of ccTLDs .BY and .БЕЛ plans to present to the colleagues from other countries the experience gained during the development of Belarusian TLDs.
Besides, the membership in ccNSO will let Belarus take more active participation in ICANN activity. Now specialists of the technical administrator of ccTLDs .BY and .БЕЛ take part in the work of Cyrillic Generation Panel that is created for implementation of Cyrillic domains into the global Internet network. After entering ccNSO they will work on the ICANN global policy, that determine functioning of TLDs in the whole world, with other members of this organization. This policy covers the questions of implementing of IDN domains and many others.
I gladly welcome the technical administrator of ccTLDs .BY and .БЕЛ in ccNSO – an organization that was created by the registries of national domains for the cooperation, experience exchange and the development of global standards.
All work in our organization is based on volunteer principles. The contribution of the registries form Europe is traditionally very big, and I am glad that the representatives of Belarusian domains are purposive and ready to be active participants of the workshops and discussions that on its turn contribute to the joint growth.– ccNSO chairman Katrina Sataki
ссNSO was created in ICANN structure in 2003. It is a large platform for exchange of opinions and experience between the registries of national domains from around the world. Nowadays 161 organizations are the members of ccNSO, among which there are registries of national domains from Europe, America and Asia-Pacific region.
