New technical administrator of the national domain zone from January 1, 2022

In accordance with the order of August 25, 2021 No. 138 of the Operative and Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus, which is the administrator of the national domain zone, from January 1, 2022, the functions of the technical administrator will be performed by Belarusian Cloud Technologies LLC.

The operator provides services on the basis of its own telecommunication networks and data center, providing a high level of protection of the client's infrastructure and data, thanks to the use of the most modern means in the field of information security.

Backbone data transmission network for the Unified Republican Data Network (URDN)
Unified LTE Advanced Pro (4G) network
Republican Data Center (RDC) – TIER III data center

Using the created infrastructure, the operator implements SMART CITY concept projects, testing 5G high-speed mobile Internet technology and others. The development of a national domain zone is an important and responsible direction for beCloud in the coming years will be.

Currently, about 149,000 domains are registered in the .BY and .БЕЛ. domain zones. Since mid-2020, there has been a drop in the number of new registrations and a reduction in the national domain zone as a whole.

Over the past 10 years, Reliable Programs LLC has been the technical administrator of the national domain zone (hoster.by). The company was responsible for the operation of the .BY and .БЕЛ national domain zones: from registry and DNS server support to charity domain auctions.
