More and more new domain names are being registered in Belarus
The technical administrator of the .BY and .БЕЛ national domain zones reports a significant increase in the number of registered domain names in Belarus.
While 12,516 new domains were registered from January to June last year, this figure has increased to 14,892 registrations today. An increase of almost 20% is impressive! The .BY national domain zone leads the overall number of newcomers.
The technical administrator's domain name registry contains a total of 157,430 second-level domains, including 141,900 .BY domains and 15,530 .БЕЛ domains.

The peak in domain purchases occurred in the spring: in March and April, the largest number of domains were purchased in the .BY zone – 2,520 and 2,411, while in the .БЕЛ zone, 190 and 188, respectively.

There is a growing trend in the purchase of .BY .БЕЛ domains by foreign companies and non-resident individuals. Russia leads the list, with 4,056 registrations from Russian residents. After Russia, Germany has the most interest in .BY .БЕЛ, followed closely by the United States, China, and the United Kingdom.
The share of domains registered by non-residents of Belarus accounts for approximately 8% of all domain names in the registry.

One of our traditional projects, which the technical administrator of .BY and .БЕЛ would like to emphasize, is regular charity auctions.
From January to June 2026, we successfully held five charity auctions. Each auction featured memorable, compelling domain names, the sale of which generated a significant amount of financial support for the charity – over 82,000 Belarusian rubles. The most profitable auction, in terms of total donations, took place in April, with over 30,000 Belarusian rubles donated.
Participants in the charity auctions purchased 341 lots: 332 in the .BY zone and 9 in the .БЕЛ zone. You can register to participate in the charity auctions via the personal account area on the auction.cctld.by domain trading platform.
